30 Kick start - Space Clearing

Preparation of Fung shui practice begins with removing unwanted articles from your home. By removing unorganized, dusty articles around the home means removing the idea of "do it later". It greatly improve the positive Chi welcoming to your home. Starting with the Compute desk, organize the over crowded desk by removing old articles, print outs, post office junk mails, unopened bills, and, unused cables, food plates, coffee cups, bottles, and coins. Keep your computer desk clean and organized means to removed congested mind and confusions, and welcome new ideas and innovations. Space clearing at home results removing heavy and dull feeling and allow the positive Chi to flow easily. Negative energy will be replaced by Healthy flow of Chi. Therefore, arguments, confused minds, and traumas will be replaced by joyfulness, happiness, peace, and harmony. We sometimes have an idea to save some items and someday could be usable and end up collecting too much boxes of junks around the house that we don't even need to use for years. Old cloths that never been put on for over 2 years should belongs to salvation army. Look around the house, you don't have to do it all in one day. Clean them up little by little, area by area. After that, you will feel "Less means More". you will be amazed.

29 Destructive Cycle Water

The water element has the power to control and finally distinguish the fire element.
When water is heated it is beneficial for cooking. Using Destructive Cycle is very useful whenever you have an overwhelming influence of a particular element. In offices, equipped with computers, electrical wires and components. When a person stay for a long period in these overwhelming level of Metal element will soon feel tension around shoulder and neck. Small plants, and green fixtures represent wood element and so will calm the metal element.

28 Destructive Cycle Wood

The Wood element has the power of absorbing and eventually destroy the Earth element.
Imagine the roots of trees as they penetrate into the soil of earth, seeking for minerals, nutrients, Earth is exhausted by the energy of the wood element and left barren.

27 Destructive Cycle Metal

Metal is an very powerful entity and eventually can destruct the wood element. Imagine a metal axe can cut and make tree fall. In the modern world, Power cutting tools are used to cut into desirable shapes and sizes.

26 Destructive Cycle Fire

Starting with the fire element. Fire element is capable of reducing and eventually destroying the energy of metal element. when heat applied to metal it turns to pools of liquid form.
This energy is useful in the real world when heat applied to metal becoming flexible and can be moulded and shaped into a useful object. such as metal frame for automobile, steal bars in buildings, and structure for ferry, and cargo ship, etc.

25 The Constructive Cycle

beginning with the Fire cycle: whenever the fire element become extreme it will create the earth element. This can be seen in nature, as a fire will produce ash.
Earth in turn is capable of production the metal element. Under pressure the earth will condense minerals into metal ore, which is mined from the ground.
Metal is the element that gives birth to the water element. This transition is more obscure than the others, however, when you place metal under extreme conditions, such as high heat (yang) the metal will turn into liquid. Likewise when you place metal into freezing (yin) conditions, the molecules that make up metal will retract and attract miniature drops of condensation.
Water is the element that feeds and nourishes the wood element, as can be seen daily in nature, where plants will wilt and eventually die if they are staved of water.
Wood is the element that gives birth to the fire element, just as logs are used to fuel a fir.

24 Constructive - Destructive Cycle

Feng Shui uses elements to enhance and balance the personal Chi. But before you can understand the use of these elements for achieving balance you have to understand the cycles of these elements. All the elements can enter into cycles that can either be constructive or destructive. In nature the destructive and constructive cycles are balanced, but in a space we can create the balance using the Feng Shui.

Wood -> Fire -> Earth -> Metal -> Water -> Wood

Water -> Fire -> Metal -> Wood -> Earth -> Water

In the constructive cycle, wood creates fire which creates earth and so forth. This uses the positive manifestations of each of the elements and shows basic compatibility. For instance, a person born in a wood year would have an elemental compatibility with a person born in water or fire year. In the reverse, water puts out fire, which destroys metal, which chops wood, which depletes the earth, which is washed away by water. Two elements next to each other in their destructive cycle are NOT compatible. So when we are making use of these elements one cannot use them together. Then there is a concept of a buffer element; if a compatible element is placed in between two destructive elements it can lessen their impact.

The five elements are also important in Chinese medicine because each element also corresponds to an organ of the body: Water with the kidney, fire with the heart, earth with the spleen, metal with the lungs and wood with the liver. The Correspondences of the five elements has considerable diagnostic significance in Chinese medicine because each of the elements is related to separate external easily visible bodily parts or organs. Since the Liver(wood) is related to the nails and the eyes for instance, diseases of live may often be diagnosed by inspecting the eyes and the nails. Additionally, since the liver is related to the emotion of anger, this also assists in the diagnosis of wood diseases. It can also be seen from the correspondences, that the spleen (earth) is sensitive to dampness, the liver (wood) to wind, the lungs (Metal) to dryness, the kidneys (water) to cold, and the heart (Fire) to heat.

23 Eight Sense - subconscious

8 - subconscious

Subconscious is the mother of all the senses. The subconscious consists of cognitive information that both the unconscious and conscious have access to, but of which we are intermittently aware. The conscious operates selectively in monitoring the environment, only registering as much information as it can manage directly; therefore many perceptions that go unnoticed by the conscious are retained in the subconscious. Learned responses are also stored in the subconscious, making it unnecessary for the conscious mind to deliberate on such automatic action as walking, avoiding sudden danger, or riding a bicycle. Unconscious mental processes and contents are blocked from direct conscious access. Rather than experiencing them directly through introspection, we can learn about them only through inference or indirect methods. Through the study of fung shui, it has been discovered through centuries of observations and close look on how different position and placement of objects surrounded humans can affect our behavior subconsciously. I'm going to point out a few things about lover in relationships that that most people don't know about and they do all the time with their valentines. Did you know that Red Roses with thorns are not a happy ending sign if you were to give them to your loved ones? The color red, it is used in marriage represents bleeding. Red roses with thorns are even more undesirable; thorns represents hardship, so on Valentine’s Day, avoid sending your loved ones red roses with thorns unless of course, you would like to end the relationship. Roses by themselves are not bad - in fact, pink, yellow, peach or cream roses (with thorns removed) are wonderful symbolic meanings associated with young love!

Did you know that mirrors in the bedroom are the most effective tools to destroy the relationship? Mirrors in the bedroom are really not advised for any type of relationship whether you're starting out or reliving a romance especially if you're pretty serious about this person! Mirrors are often said to reflect a third party in the relationship. Mirrors represent another person always coming in between two people. This often means an extra marital affair but sometimes the third person can be anyone such as a discouraging relative, etc… Ever heard of “Two's Company, Three's a crowd!” So remove your mirrors, hide them or cover them up!

And remember, to hold on to your Valentine’s love. Always have everything displayed in your home in pairs; a pair of love birds, a pair of love ducks. Ever heard of “Love comes in pairs, single comes in despair”? Make your valentine feel welcome by removing all solitude figures, remove all lonely pictures of a man or woman, have fresh flowers in your love & relationship corner, and clean out your closets to make room for your significant others to enter into your life.

22 Eight Sense - Hot, Cold

6, 7 Hot & Cold

The kitchen area resides two powerful element in the house, Water and Fire. Oven and stoves belong to Fire element. Water sink, dish washer, and refrigerator belongs to water element. Fire and Water elements oppose one another. Therefore, its is not recommended to placed them next to each other, or their oppose energy field will cause total disruption and chaos and harm your family health and financial luck. Imagine during cooking and when food is prepared, it should be kept in harmony and avoiding any negative Chi affecting your meals. I have seen oven or stove placing too close to the refrigerator in some houses. When oven is operating, it will take longer time to bake and cost more energy to run. The heat that oven generate rise the temperature of the food inside the refrigerator. Cooking stove and oven can be grouped to one isle where, water sink, dish washer, and refrigerator, and freezer can be grouped to the other side of the kitchen. Oven is known as "The Dragon Mouth" Based on the Armchair configurations, Oven should have the back support. Its recommend to placed against the wall for support. Oven should avoid the "Blast from the Door" effect and should not facing directly to the door and under the window either. We will go over "The Dragon Mouth" and the Armchair configurations in the future lessons.

19 Eight Sense - air

4 air

We live and surround within the air. The condition of it and the movement of the air affects us in every moment. "Blast from the door" is the chi that is moving too fast to be useful as it enters a room. Its very important that you are not the first obstacle of this Chi encounter. When a person sit with their back to an open door, the "Blast from the door" cause a person become insecure and anxious. When someone enter to the room, the person inside the room must look over their shoulder. Never sit or sleep in the position where directly exposed and facing behind to an open entrance. Sitting position should have a solid wall behind of you for support. sitting behind the window and sleeping under the glass windows feel uncomfortable subconsciously. Different colors arrangement for home and office affects our mind and behavior. In the bedroom, it is necessary to use soft and peaceful color to promo yin energy. A quality sleep immediately improve our good health and increase romantic happiness for couples. Never use aggressive color for bedroom wall and ceiling such as red. However, if the bedroom is too yin, a small ping table lamp or a small reddish brown coffee table is recommended. Never place active objects such as television, sound system, aquarium, clock with ticking sounds in the bedroom.
The productivity corner, study area, or in the office, color should be bright and vibrant for promoting yang energy. Bright colors for white walls and desk stimulates encouragement. 17 Eight sense - Sound

2 Sound

In the extreme quiet corners or rooms at home, occasionally play some soft music can positively promote Ren Chi "Human Energy". By doing so effortlessly creates some gentle positive Yang Chi to balance the insecurity and emptiness. Its always a good idea to play some very soft classical music, or your favorite soft rocks CDs or mp3s in the bathroom, living room, or family room. I personally enjoy preparing classical music from classical radio channels in the restrooms whenever guests going to visit. Never play Overwhelming or Loud Music for long period of time. This will confuse the Positive Chi and pollutes the harmony and balance for what you have created.

16 Eight sense - Light

1 Light
Light is one of its most obvious form in eight senses. It reflects on objects that can be seen by human eyes. If the front door of the house facing Sha Chi, harmful or unpleasant energy, such as cemetery, telephone pole, and sharp object point toward the front door, or anything that has aggressive in appearance, should use a mirror, or Bagua Mirror to reflect and reduce the negative energy. Mirror is a very powerful Fung Shui cures and enhancers. As food is symbolic of wealth and prosperity, food should be easily seen around the home. Placing a mirror to reflect food, cashier in the restaurant is recommended. Never place a mirror directly reflecting the door and hallway, or directly facing the entrance of the front door. It confuses the chi of the house. If mirrors hung in the bedroom opposite the bed, they will reflect the energy that that you are releasing through dreams back into your body. This will cause confusion to you as your subconscious is discarding all the unneeded information during the day, and the mirror is reflecting it straight back into your energy. You will wake up feeling dazed instead of refreshed.

07 Profit with Chi and Fung Shui

Everyone is preferred to live in a comfortable home. feeling warm and peaceful, a place to relax, and be your true self. In fact, to live and surround in a balance and harmony home and office directly affect our mood and luck. With a pen and paper, jot down whatever is in your mind in the office. This will give you an idea of what degree of yin energy and yang energy is available in your home, yard, and office. For instance, if an area were very dark with little or no natural light in it, it would considered very yin. If the area is very bright with plenty of windows and little or no shade, we can say the area is very yang. Either too yin or too yang is imbalance, and generate negative energy. Exposed yourself with negative energy for a long period of time cost behavioral problems, insecurity, missed opportunities, illness and even loss of finances. Many gasoline stations purposely using very bright lighting arrangement during night time to balance the overwhelming yin energy at night and customers feel more secure and safe and will come back when they need gasoline again. McDonald's restaurants use bright red and yellow and level of light are high, encouraged to buy, eat and then leave the restaurant as quickly as possible in order to make room for the next customer. Food is inexpensive and profit by very high turnover. In contrast, a quiet, subdued restaurant with dimmed lights and soft music is creating a receptive and passive atmosphere designed to encourage customers to relax, stay for longer and to spend more money on their expensive menu. Both systems are designed to make money but with different approaches. One has and emphasis on yang energy and the other is using yin.
